volevo farvi sapere, per chi non lo sapesse già, che Anders Thygesen, eccellente costruttore norvegese, sta tentando la navigazione delle coste norvegesi a bordo di un baidarka da lui costruito (nella sua carriera il titolare di "kajakkspesialisten" ne ha costruiti più di 500)!

Però ha un sacco di tempo libero il tipo!!! Ora metto sù un negozio on line di artificial sinew, nylon balistico e duck canvas e me ne vado in vacanza 4 mesi l'anno...è proprio vero non ho capito niente nella vita!!! Comunque il tuo baidarka non ha niente da invidiare ai suoi, invece ho visto una pagaia (non la greenland) l'altra che mi incuriosice sai di che si tratta?

Ero a conoscenza di questa impresa : me ne aveva parlato NIP che è un ammiratore di Anders, e conversando sull'argomento mi spiegava che per quanto lo riguarda i SOF, sia Baidarka che Greenland (a parte le repliche storiche), devono esser concepiti per navigare anche affrontando spedizioni. Infatti lui recentemente ha messo a disposizione un suo Greenland che ha compiuto una navigazione costiera in Sardegna di più giorni in piena autonomia, e lui stesso aveva in programma (poi saltato per ragioni familiari) di percorrere lo stesso tratto col "Two Holes Baidarka" appena realizzato. Dopo aver esaminato il suo Greenland al rientro della spedizione ha potuto constatare che non emergeva alcun cedimento nè sulla struttura che sul rivestimento ! L'unica precauzione presa prima della partenza era stata l'applicazione di un listello a protezione della chiglia.
Comunque, puoi renderti conto delle enormi potenzialità che può esprimere il Baidarka...

@Ade: Considera che conta di affrontare circa 3000 Km!!! E credo che questo non faccia altro che amplificare la sua popolarità come costruttore e maestro in building class!

Me ne ha parlato NIP ed ora lo sto seguendo. Sarà affascinante non solo per l'avventura in sè quanto per il comportamento del S.O.F. baidarka!
